My one hesitation is that I think that String Along was relatively poorly mixed compared to Voyle Gilmore's otherwise outstanding Capitol efforts, especially contrasted with Here We Go Again! for NBD and New Frontier for NBJ. The sound of those two just seemed to shimmer off of the vinyl. Previous Message
I remember a girl I was dating (Gloria) before I got married and raised a family, etc....
She kept nagging at me, making demands and knew basically three words: I Want / Give Me / Take Me
So one day I had enough, got fed up and gave her four words:
Bye-Bye / Adios / Farewell / So Long
I kinda borrowed these words from the song "Buddy Better Get On Down The Line" (written by Jane Bowers & Dave Guard)
Another winner from STRING ALONG -> and listen to Dave Guard's magnificent banjo playing!

Good Afternoon Jim and Peter,
Please add me to your list of Kingston Trio fans who loved the KT's "String Along" album!
Not one bad song on there and Capitol Records did an excellent job putting this record cover (back & front) together.
Kudos to Voyle Gilmore for his production efforts! Well done Voyle!
Besides Nick, Bob and Dave looking like "stars" that purple background is eye catching!
Although l'm a liner notes nerd, I'm very OK with the casual photos on the back cover.
A real nice package which made their next album (after LMOTY) "Make Way" take a back seat.
Maybe I expected too much from "Make Way" but in my (not so humble) opinion "Make Way" was the weakest album by the "Guard" Trio.
At least "Goin' Places" was a much stronger outing and a respectable farewell album for Dave Guard. [June/1961]
Before I go, let me leave you with my personal favorite track from "String Along" ~ a nod to songwriter Travis Edmonson.

Thank You, Jim. Much appreciated.
Speaking of "The Escape of Old John Webb" I want to tell folks here on Crossroads to read what you wrote on the YouTube vid ----
giving terrific details about this song.

Great read, Peter - and I'm proud to add that the embedded upload of "The Escape of Old John Webb" with its usual thoughtful prose intro in the notes is my work.
ps: String Along has been my favorite KT LP for 65 years.
