Sometime in the late 1970s, Bob Shane told me that there was a lawyer in Chicago who was a big Trio fan that I needed to meet.

He gave me Allan's phone number and we became instant friends.

This made him my first Trio friend.

As we all know ... much followed afterward involving the Trio.

We always talked on the phone after camp.

This last time he told me that he wasn't doing too well.

He'll be greatly missed by many.

His son says there will be a memorial service in the Spring.
