there are so many reissues on vinyl by so many different artists, good or bad. The Kingston Trio's history of "Top Sellers In Albums"(LIFE/Aug. 1959) seems to have
gone by the wayside. Look at Jim Moran's post about the 10th Anniversary of 4 Kingston Trio albums in the Top 10.
I'm not saying all KT albums should be reissued but can't Capitol or MoFi Records revisit "At Large" or "String Along" or "Time To Think"?
PS: I love John Lennon's rendition of "Anna" :>)
It's no secret I've been enjoying the new BEATLES albums (7 of them) recently re-issued by Capitol Records.
These 7 LPs are "Mono" but they look and sound amazing. You don't even need a good record player.
And as a bonus, these album covers which honor and respect the original releases (1964) are glossy.
Visually stunning!
If only Capitol Records would do something like this for THE KINGSTON TRIO.
Am I asking too much? Probably!
Right now, I'm listening to one of the 7 Capitol LPs entitled "THE EARLY BEATLES" ---
and it's gotta include one of the most under-rated BEATLES songs ever recorded: ANNA (GO TO HIM)
A tremendous lead vocal by John Lennon, who absolutely loved this song, while George Harrison accompanies John on guitar.
