Sure sounds like sour grapes to me.
Hello Max,
The last time I posted here was back on August 4th in my thread "Island In The Sun" which I considered to be a good thread and even my wife (Sara) found interesting.
Strangely enough, it got snubbed by Ken Laing and Rick Daly (who was still alive) and you.
No Comments; No Response; No Nothing.
No, I'm not mad. I'm disappointed because these "Discussion Forums" is a place to share opinions, and yet Harry Belafonte's "Island In The Sun" was dismissed
by three people who make a difference:
Ken - who runs Kingston Crossroads
Max - who encourages Kingston Crossroads to be active
Rick - well, maybe he was ill and was unable to post / may he Rest In Peace
As I say, I'm not angry, and I will be moving on. Sara & I are leaving for the Bahamas first thing tomorrow morning.
Wishing you well and best of luck.
For the record (pun intended), The Kingston Trio's "Make Way" album came out in January of 1961.
It was different.
Why?
Very different begining song....
Set an entirely different mood than before ..
Extensive use of Capitol's echo chamber...
this one is a class all by itself.
I listened to it non-stop for hours.
