the first time I heard the Kingston Trio was on their Hungry i album.

It blew me away!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think this was the album that made the Trio popular.

I think they owe their careers to it and not Tom Dooley.


But, the reason why Tom Dooley was a hit is the same reason why the Hungry i album was so good.

First of all, Tom Dooley and most of the songs on the Hungy i album were story songs....

Story songs have the greatest impact.

It's been scientifically proven.

He was very believable...

Nick was very gifted in this regard. He had a very good voice for such things, and he instinctively knew how to use it.

Something he never fully appreciated in him self... He said, " I was just hangin out with these guys."
