The quest to find that WHS Second Album is like trying to find the holy grail.
I recall reading that Allan Shaw scoured the Capitol vaults many years ago and could not find it. After all, the masters did not belong to Capitol anyway as they were recorded at producer Henry Jacobs' private studio at Sausalito.
Dave Guard's old musical stuff went to his daughter Catherine but her brother Tom told me that he checked with her and she did not have those WHS tapes.
Tom Guard then contacted Henry Jacobs to see if he still had the master tapes of that album and was told that Jacobs' house had burned down and the masters would have been destroyed if they were in fact kept at his home. Henry was then in his 90s, I believe, and could not recall if he ever had the tapes there.
To cap it all off, I recall some long conversations that I had with Cyrus Faryar 14 years ago and Cyrus told me then that he did not have a copy of that second album and was not sure that the group ever completed it anyway.
But fingers are crossed that some or all of that second album may surface somewhere one day.
And on the subject of the Stereo Concert Plus CD, I read somewhere that most or all of those additional tracks on the CD release were taken from another concert done somewhere in Los Angeles.
