Re the cover of the first album: Bob said here on Crossroads that he never owned a 000-28 and always played a D-28. My guess is that they were told to bring their instruments to the photo shoot for the first album and the photographer didn’t like the big D-28 in the front of the shot. I think Bob used Dave’s 000-28 for the photo shoot. We see Dave playing what I suspect is the same 000-28 in “Greenback Dollar” captioned in the photo as “Recording... "from the Hungry Eye...” Minutia, I know...
