Thanks, Bob. I talked to Maury Muehleisen's sister, Mary, for an hour on the phone back in 2004. She had contacted me after seeing Shady Grove Radio on the Live365 roster and I'd been playing Jim Croce's music. She gave me some insight into her brother's musical journey and how Jim was so glad to have Maury as his guitarist. Yes, what a tragic loss it was and still is for fans of Jim Croce's music.
Ken, I had just posted on Rick's site and came here to post what you just did! Croce's death hit me hard. He was a big star in the making and was taken from us. Will never be able to understand or make sense of why things like that happen. Thank you for remembering Jim Croce with your post.
