A week or so ago....

Tony Bennett died.

As you know, I'm a big Tony Bennett fan.

Saw him 4 times.

During the past week or so, I've checked Google News to read articles about Tony.

but, if Tony was still alive and somehow I had tickets to see Tony and Mathis on the same night, I'd be at the Mathis concert for sure.

Why?

Johnny Mathis did two things for me when I was a kid.

He introduced me to romance...... No doubt about it.


He made Christmas better than ever.


I looked .... it doesn't appear that Johnny has a Kennedy Center honor.....

Why is that?

Probably for the same reason the Trio never got one.

Somehow, they were both overlooked.

I don't think there is anything racial behind Mathis' not getting one.

But, they should shure give him one while he's around.


The sound is not so great on the concert video ....

but, the songs are certainly in my memory bank.

Mega Millions is now up to $1.25 BILLION !!!!!!!!!

Is that insane???????????????

If I win....

We'll go to see Mathis.

BTW, the first concert that Jackee and I went to after we met was a Johnny Mathis Christmas concert.
