The extra weight of the brass bridge pins or varied hardness of various materials can alter a guitar's tone a bit but is it for the better or worse or just a different flavor of good? This subject gets brought up on AGF at least twice a month and gets a zillion responses with conclusions resulting in the usual subjective opinions. I just keep the same bridge pins that came with the guitar.
