Edited by Ken Bradshaw on 5/12/2023, 3:15 am Over the years I have talked to people such as Tom Guard and Cyrus Faryar and neither of them could find the master or a copy of the recordings anywhere in their own homes or with another family member. I was, however, not able to contact anyone else associated with Judy Henske or Buckwheat. About ten years ago Tom and I were able to locate the whereabouts of Henry Jacobs, who was about 90 years of age at that time and may have left us by now. Tom spoke to him and learned that Henry's house burned down some years earlier and everything in it was lost. We do not know what was in that house at the time but it is possible that it contained WHS 2. Henry did not remember.
Joe,
I searched extensively for this recording about 15 years ago.
As you may know, it was produced by Henry Jacobs in a private studio which he owned at Sausalito. The first WHS album was done there too.
I remember Allan Shaw searched the Capitol Records archives way back and found no trace of the album because it was probably never kept there.
Henry Jacobs had later sold his studio and presumambly took his work with him. On the other hand he may have left it all behind so it would be worth identifying the studio and making inquiries if someone here is in the Sausalito area.
Like you, I hang on to the hope that there is a copy floating around somewhere that may appear one day, however unlikely that may be.
Finally, to add to the intrigue, Cyrus told me well over a decade ago that he was not sure that the group ever finished the second album anyway.

Thanks, Ken.
Do you have any idea who has the masters for the unreleased WHS album? That would be some find. Previous Message
