I'll bet there are over a thousand other people who can tell the exact same story with very little variation. Probably more than a thousand.

Bob, was the kind of guy who could make you feel like you were the most important person in the world to him.

And, during the time that you were in his presence ... I think it was true because Bob loved people.

It was all for real.

And, the saddest thing of it all, I believe is... when he was in financial trouble ... Bob could have said, "Friends, I've screwed up in my old age, and I'm broke. Anything you might be able to send me will be greatly appreciated."

If Bob had done this ... he would have had more than enough to live on for the rest of his life.

I would have given him my last dime.
