John, I've been enjoying tribute bands of the great groups. Last year I saw tributes of The Beatles, The Bee Gee's and The Eagles. All great shows. And considering it's unlikely to ever see the real groups, it's better better than nothing. In fact, just the other night, there was a tribute guy doing Elton John at a theater here in town. I passed on that though. And some years back I saw two different John Denver tributes. It's all good!

I actually saw that version of the Mamas and the Papas at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center. I'd forgotten that Spanky was a member then. On the same bill were
a bunch of musicians performing as Fleetwood Mac, and as I recall, none of them was a member of the 70s version of the band. Perplexing but reasonably good versions of both bands.
