How "great" could Burt Bacharach be if he treated your wife Jackee so shabbily?
I'm okay with Bacharach's songs, etc...but I'm not really a big fan. Sorry to hear about his passing.

Yes, I also watched CBS Sunday Morning but didn't know that Burt had passed away. So much memorable music by Burt! Thanks for the news, Max. Previous Message
Ken probably saw on CBS Sunday morning that Burt Bacharach died .... on Wednesday.
This was the first I heard of it.
It hit mke pretty hard.
But, he was 94.
I'm pretty certain that three years ago, I had EVERY vinyl album, and CD of his music.
I like his music, next to the Trio's music, most of all.
That's because his music was the first music, after 1967, that I liked a lot.
It's also because my friend, Tom McGoodwin, who first turned me on to the
Trio first turned me on to Bacharach.
One day, Tom came to our apartment with Bacharach's third album, and said, "You have to hear this!!!!" It was his Promises Promises album.
I probably have a dozen copies of this CD. There's one in all our cars. We have four cars. But, only one of them is running.
This was while I was in the Army. Which was a critickle time in my life.
My liking of Bacharach is also in spite of Bacharach's not being very nice to Jackee when she encountered him at the Lexington airport.
A lot of great people are ass holes.

Did Bacharach write any "folk Songs?"
Maybe this one qualifies...
