I believe Bob Shane was referring to David Peel (sounded like "Kiel" on YouTube) but things changed after this interview.
For one thing David Peel began doing Kingston Trio tributes (live performances) on stage.
A long time ago Bob Shane had written on this forum something like this:
"There's already a Kingston Trio band performing concerts so why is David Peel going around singing our songs? How crazy is that?"
