For the record (pun intended), Julie's favourite album was...and still is: "Marvin Gaye / What's Going On?" {rel: 1971}

If not mistaken, "What's Going On?" was chosen by Rolling Stone Magazine as the #1 Best Album of All Time.

And here I thought it would've been a Kingston Trio album !!! ("At Large" or "String Along" or "Time To Think")
Shows how much I know, eh? {hahaha} / Anyhow....

Switching Gears:

Our Canadian Cable Channel has been televising Paul Anka's Vegas Concert: "Hits and Tribute To Frank Sinatra" {PBS}

I happened to tune in last week, and at first, I felt it was another one of those "Big Celebrity" fund raisers whereby
Paul Anka would simply go thru the motions.

Paul Anka put on a tremendous show, and the Vegas crowd loved him...as much as he loved them !!!

Paul would even jump off the stage and interact with his audience...dancing and whispering sweet "somethings" in their ear.

Probably the best TV concert I've ever seen !!! WOW !!!

As a point of interest, Founder; President and CEO of Kingston Crossroads, Ken Laing, was born in Ottawa, Ontario....
and eventually moved to New York.

Paul Anka was also born in Ottawa...and is now living in New York too.

I wonder what happened to Diana Ayoub (18) whom Paul (at 15) met at a Church gathering ???
(rumours about Paul Anka writing this song for his babysitter turned out to be false)
