Thanks to all who responded to my inquiry about the recognition of Norm Gauch! Yes, he was kind of abrasive at times but as mentioned, he was a good source of information on The Kingston Trio and folk music! Norm was the one who turned me on to The Acoustic Guitar Forum which has been a source of information and enjoyment for me since 2006.
I'd met Norm a couple of times, first in 1998, at The Kingston Trio concert at Chautauqua, and the second time was in May 2009 at his passed father's viewing here in Rochester. Sadly, Norm passed the following June of 2010.

I saw Bela Fleck's My Bluegrass Heart in concert several months ago. Sierra Hull played mandolin in the group. ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!
