Jeff Daniels...movie star "Dumb and Dumber" and lots of others. He's from (and I believe still lives in) Chelsea, Michigan. That's not far from Ann Arbor. Plays at the Ark from time to time. He owns the "Purple Rose" Theatre. My wife and I have been to some plays there. Pro productions, but not big time Broadway stuff.

I had a promoter/sometimes manager that was hoping to book a Folk group I was with at the theatre, but it never happened.

My daughter, several years ago gave tap dance lessons to his daughter. She said the little girl was kind of shy and her Mother was quite lovely.
