* "All The Good Times Are Past And Gone" is a REALLY great song.... "You have to remember, that album was made in 1962. Nobody was depressed in 1962."

No wonder I kept on hearing you scream "See You Later, Alligator" waaaay back then !!! {hahaha}
Last night we were watching "JAWS" on late night television, and that kinda took a "bite" out of our evening.
Pretty good movie, though...and we were so much younger when we first saw it in movie theatres.
Anyhow, since I'm kinda reminiscing....
Here are the songs Nick, Bob & John recorded for "SOMETHING SPECIAL" :
Brown Mountain Light
One More Town
O Willow Waly
Tell It On The Mountain
Little Boy (solo: Nick Reynolds)
Strange Day
Away Rio
Pullin' Away
She Was Too Good To Me (solo: Bob Shane)
Jane, Jane, Jane
Portland Town (solo: John Stewart)
Old Joe Clark
Darlin' Are You Dreaming {left off the album}
All The Good Times Are Past And Gone {left off the album} *
ps: Allan Shaw released a CD (via Rediscover Music) entitled "Something REALLY Special" (actually written that way)....
which includes ALL songs listed above (with & without orchestra). Makes for "REALLY" great listening !!!
so years later, when our Kingstons were asked why it didn't make the album, John Stewart said: Brucester
ps: This is for Bob Ware since he told me "Brown Mountain Light" was a favourite of his....
and thanked me for posting some info for him. You're Welcome, Bob.

I was up to my ass in alligators when the Stewart Box Set came out and never listened to it.
I have it in a box in the basement along with many other CDs.
We keep moving to smaller quarters and not enough room for all my crap.
I'm curious .... what songs were left off SS????
That were in the box.
BTW, Allan Shaw issued a special CD of SS that has both versions of the songs.
I have it somewhere....
