I did like the album, I used to track their albums on Billboard and I believe it did not make the top 10. So I thought oh well it was too many live albums, next one will be top ten. Remember it wasn't that much after Reverend Mr. Black making the top ten nationally (not in NY so prejudice against the Trio so I always thought). But then after Back In Town not album for almost a year. I was perplexed, then the one on Decca, didn't have a great cover and the sound was not as full. I think the Trio waiting for a year to put out another album was a wrong career move.

Max mentioned Back in Town a few posts ago and it got me thinking. What would you/we think of Back in Town had it been released, not as a live album, but a regular album, just the songs, in the order they are on the live cut? Just got me wondering because I've heard people say it wasn't one of their favorite Trio albums. For me, I love the album. But I think it would be great without the audience too. Just trying to start a conversation. Have a great weekend all and a very Happy Father's Day to all you Dads out there!
