That was back in the 70s.
I became a lawyer. When I first practiced, did not need to type, used a Dictaphone. But nobody takes dictation anymore so here I am every day hunting and pecking away. I guess it is not too bad because it takes me more time to think what I want to say than it does to type it.
But guess how many times I've used a metal lathe since high school ... right, zero.
So I should have taken the typing class!
I took typing during summer school when I was 14. I can't remember what grade I was in.
I could have cared less about learning to type, and got a "D" in the class.
I did it because I was in love with a gal in my class. I heard her say that she was taking typing in summer school ... So, I did it too. Just to be with her. I did learn to tpye some.
I worked as an attorney in the Army and had to do my own typing.
I had to make an original and 7 carbons of everything.
You couldn't do this with a manual typewriter and use touch typing.
My little finger just wouldn't pound the keys hard enough.
So, I became a guitar typist.
Being a left handed flat picker ....
On my left hand, I used my thumb and first finger (Is that the index finger) to peck out the left hand keys, and most of my fingers on my right hand to touch type.
Anyone else guitar type?
