Thanks, George! The thing about Doyle Dykes and Tommy Emmanuel is that although they pull off astounding fretboard gymnastics it's not only entertaining but it's always musically relevant to and in support of the piece being played.
Doyle Dykes & Caleb Dykes - I met Doyle Dykes after a show he'd done at a local music store back in 2011. Besides being an excellent guitarist, Doyle is a gentleman of the first order!
I also saw/heard/met Doyle at a local music store/venue in Henderson, NV at probably about the same time. He had one of his daughters with him, who was an excellent singer/songwriter. Son Caleb can certainly hold his own with his father. I learned a guitar composition of Doyle's (I've since forgotten it, though) which was melodic and challenging, but attainable. He is one of three or four guitarists whose abilities I admire, beyond the usual Chet Atkins and Jerry Reed references. I place Doyle Dykes in the top five, with Tommy Emmanuel at the top.
