If anybody wants to know what The Kingston Trio lost when Dave left in 1961, all you need do is to watch "The Kingston Trio & Friends Reunion."
Once I'm here, I also want to vote for Erik Darling, as a Grade AAA+ banjo picker.
Erik, who replaced Pete Seeger on The Weavers before forming The Rooftop Singers, was not too shabby on his 12 string guitar either.
One glaring error in my opinion. Dave Guard. He started from scratch and came up with some really intriguing banjo parts through the NBD years. I realize he didn't pick like Earl, but think Coast of California for just one of many. Any way, like I said, just my opinion.
