When Nick re-joined the Trio, I was already well established as one of the Trio's friends. So, Nick and I hit it off immediately.
No such thing ever happened between me and John, even though we had numerous encounters. (Two out of three wasn't bad. Some things are just not meant to be.)
Over the years, I'd bought all of John's albums, Cassettes, and CDs. What I was always looking for were songs that were Trio songs. There were a few. But most were a horse of a different color.
Over time, I've been able to appreciate John's non-Trio stuff. I have all of his albums, cassettes, and CDs in a variety of places in our house ... I hope...haven't seen them in years...(If anyone ever came out with a box set of his work...hint.. hint Paul .... I'd be the first to buy it ... if I could find the money.
In all truth, the one thing that would get me on an airplane to go to camp would be to see and hear his band. Plus to have a few minutes to talk to Dave again. He's such a good guy.
John's band is the real thing...
