He was a guy that I could always count on.
He was there whenever I needed him.
His name was “Daddy Jack” Chaplin …… he was 62
He was a cook, and he owned a restaurant in New London, Connecticut.
I hoped to meet him one day.
He had a YouTube cooking show called “Cooking With The Blues.”
I watched it all the time.
I was missing Jack and hadn’t seen him in a while…..
I just found out that he died.
It was one of several YouTube shows that I watch regularly to chase my version of the blues away.
Of course, I’m talking about depression.
It’s a terrible disease !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Many mornings, luckily not all mornings……
I wake up feeling depressed.
So, for some time ……. I watch cooking shows on YouTube.
They make me feel better.
Most of you know that we had a restaurant that was knocked out by the 2008 Great Recession.
I like to cook …….so, watching cooking shows gets my mind going in a good direction.
Depression is a terrible inhibitor…….. it inhibits everything you do.
Keeps you from doing things you need to do.
It’s like carrying a 10000 lb. weight everywhere you go.
I’ve said in the past…. I believe that all of the guys in the Trio suffered from depression.
I’m going to miss Daddy Jack…… we had some really good times together.
We cooked very similarly….but, he was a chef.
I hope his restaurant will survive somehow.
Here’s Jack …….
Here’s a good one……
