I've got that two-fer CD. I also have both on vinyl. Great albums.
Jim.....I'm sorry to hear about Jerry's passing.
I've said it before, here, and I'll say it again...
In my opinion, Bev Bivins was the best female singer to come out of the folk era.....
I think the story is...she was in love with a jazz guy and left We five to be with him.
She surfaced again about 10 years ago, but I don't think much came of it.
In the minds of most people...We Five was just another band from that period of time.
There is no mention of Ian and Sylvia in any of the press that's about "You Were On My Mind." Much the same as with "Four Strong Winds."
A while back, I think it was Jerry who told the story of finding one of Nick's old tenor guitars under
Frank Werber's bed and putting it back into service.
Of course there's John's brother who died much too soon. The guy was very talented.
And so on.........
Here's one of my favorite songs that they did...
Out of all the Collectors Choice CDS...after the Trio ones...this one's my favorite... I have two of them, and I'd get this one if money wasn't so tight right now...anyone who doesn't have this one is really missing out...the price is a little high...but, this one is pretty scarce... https://www.ebay.com/itm/WE-FIVE-YOU-WERE-ON-MY-MIND-MAKE-SOMEONE-HAPPY-CD-1996-24-TRACKS/203304839296?hash=item2f55e9a880:g:CWIAAOSwjhZgTP77
