George, to Curt's point, and you might not even know, did they just use a studio musician or someone at Capitol who could play a guitar (not that it was even necessary) to do that one strum? I seriously doubt they would have brought the three of them in for that one half second.
Actually, Bob was telling the truth. In that era, the use of that word was highly discouraged. I believe it was retained for the album version but eliminated for the 45rpm version.....but I could be getting my lies mixed up!!!
When you think of "that era" in recording (since it is our era), especially since Ken has up a Beatles song as one of his banner presentations, it seems unbelievable that Voyle Gilmore and George Martin were able to create such incredible sounds through their production techniques. I think neither the KT nor the Beatles could've utilized their talents so fully had it not been for their respective producers. Often, the producer's task was to massage the talent emotionally as well as musically.
