Re: Last night I had the strangest dream
That's nice to hear you enjoyed your New York vacation! Howe Caverns is wonderful and I was there when I was seventeen and it was my first-ever cavern experience.
As I mentioned to John, it's a small world! My sister lived near UB, off Hertel Avenue, and later she lived in Amherst. We may have walked by each other and didn't know it!
My apologies if I am intruding. I thought I could share that in 1988 my family and I spent an overnight at the Batavia Holiday Inn just off the New York State Thruway, about 3.5 miles from the Graham Corporation. Our stay was towards the end of a memorable NY vacation that included Corning, Watkins Glen, Niagara Falls, the University of Buffalo, Middleport, Howe Caverns, and Cooperstown.
John, check out the link Max provided. Graham Corporation is on the east side of Batavia, and is located on Florence Avenue, which is off Cedar Street, which is off East Main Street right near where Route 33 hits East Main. The company is in the same area where International Harvester used to be.
I last lived in Batavia in 1969. No idea what the Graham Corporation is.
Thanks, John. Yes, I live in Rochester. For the last 2 years, I've worked at Graham Corporation in Batavia. Small world, eh?
Ken, I'm from Batavia. I think we corresponded about our stomping grounds many years ago. You're from Rochester, if I recall correctly.
