Re: Actor, singer, 'The Gambler': Kenny Rogers dies at 81
WW III?? Really? This is tough but nothing compared to WW1 or WWII or 1918 flu or Civil War. People will continue to die, no question, but a vaccine will be in the works next year and we will get through this. Doom and gloom is not helpful.
On our Montreal's radio station CJAD (800), they kept on playing the song "End Of The World" by Skeeter Davis.
Of course, her big "hit" stems back from 1962....
and "The End" Skeeter was singing about had to do with lost love - not some vicious plague !!!
ps: I don't know how far this Coronavirus will take us....
but a lot of folks up here in Canada are talking about "World War III" and possibly the end of the world.
Anyhow, for what it's worth....let's keep on keepin' on - and try to stay safe.
Brucester Note: Skeeter Davis (1931-2004)
It's just now occurred to me. It's all just coming to an end.
Rest In Peace, Kenny. I've always enjoyed his music from The New Christy Minstrels, though The First Edition, and on to his solo career.
