BTW, something else that might interest you......
The guy in the video was playing a plastic guitar with plastic strings.
I've long believed that nylon stringed guitars are much better than steel.
I believe that you can be far more expressive with nylon strings.
To prove this point.........
Think of the Kingston Trio songs that were played on nylon.
Who did the playing on these songs.
Bob is the only one left who knows for sure.
I've often wondered why no one ever asked him this.
It is generally thought that Buck Wheat was doing the playing.
I reached my opinion on this by listening to the songs that John Denver played on nylon.
He had what was probably one of the first nylon string guitars that was electric and had a steel-string guitar neck. I think it was made by Yamaha.
Several guitar makers have them now. Maybe Taylor has one.
I wanted to get one, but never did.
Instead, I got a Martin classical guitar. A 00-21
I have great difficulty playing it because the neck is so wide.
I just started taking some pills that a friend recommended that he says will cure the arthritis in my hands.
If it works, I'm going to get one of these guitars and start playing it.
My 0-21 is Brazilian rosewood and it's gorgeous.
I've thought about selling it.
But, it's just too pretty to give up.
Sounds good too.
BTW, nylon strings will drive you crazy. They're like rubber bands. And, I hate putting the damn things on a guitar.
but, all of this is worth the trouble.
I'm thinking about loaning it to a friend to use.
