Here's wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Yes, I know Christmas was your Dad's favorite holiday and if not mistaken, Rick received THE KINGSTON TRIO AT LARGE album as a Christmas gift from his parents. That LP became his favorite of all time and forever a devoted KINGSTON TRIO fan.
In second place your Dad also loved THE BROTHERS FOUR (such as I do too) and here's a quote from their Christmas album
(back of LP cover):
It has been said that there are three things which are real....
(1) GOD (2) HUMAN FOLLY (3) LAUGHTER
The first two are beyond our comprehension, so we must do what we can with the third.
(signed) Mike Kirkland, Dick Foley, John Paine, Bob Flick - The Brothers Four
As Rick and I often discussed, without LAUGHTER and/or without MUSIC, life would be a mistake.
BEST WISHES TO YOU AND YOURS, KATHI.
ps: I miss your Dad and think of him often.
- Peter

This was my Dad's favorite holiday. Honestly, I think tonight, Christmas Eve, was truly his favorite. The magic, the anticipation, he loved everything about Christmas, so the day leading up to it was extra special.
I just wanted to share tonight, in a group that I thought would appreciate it :-), that I found the perfect gift for my Dad! Unfortunately, it's two Christmases too late, but... I still had to get it and his favorite (only) son-in-law will be opening it in the morning! I have no affiliation with this company, haha, but I just needed to share with you guys, since I can't share it with my Dad.
A watch made from Taylor guitars! You know he loved his guitars, but he also loved watches. It's perfect.
I was also able to have it engraved, as well. So the back of the watch says:
Go Phils!

Love, (two of his grandkids)
In my mind, it's perfect. And I think my Dad would agree. A very Merry Christmas to all of you! Thank you for continuing to think of him.
