Agree with Max...keep those posts a-comin'! Do you need a "Beater" or "Campfire" banjo? Here's one I'd recommend. First, I'm currently playing a $3500 gold plated engraved Crafters of Tennessee banjo on my 8 or 9 gigs each month. I saw a post for a $299 Hearts & Flowers bluegrass banjo on Facebook's "Banjo Forum". The player, Bill Peck, played a Bill Emerson song called "Cowboys and Indians" and it really sounded super! It made sense to get one and spare the wear and tear on my Tennessee! So far, I'm very pleased. Bill Peck's Gosilla had a rolled tube tonering, but mine has has a real 20-hole flathead ring.
