Today's Boston Globe had an article about this relatively new organization. They opened a space in 2022 with exhibits, but this year they are inducting artists and groups into the hall. There will be 28 inductees, but the article only listed Lead Belly, Johnny Cash, Gordon Lightfoot, Odetta, Joan Baez, Joni Mitchell, Willie Nelson, Bonnie Raitt, Mavis Staples, Peter, Paul and Mary, and the Byrds. The induction is next weekend, April 19-20. The public is not invited, just family members, but PBS will be filming for a broadcast in November. Those participating in a concert are Baez, Peter and Paul, Amy Helm, Tom Rush, Livingston Taylor, Meredith Lightfoot, Josh White Jr., The Mammals and Will Daily. The article states that they hope to induct 12 each year. There were 187 artists nominated this year, the nomination process was not explained. Hopefully this Hall will be successful.
