Actually, when you think about it, many of the songs that the Trio sang have become timeless, and they were timeless when they sang them.
The most obvious one is ... They're rioting in Africa.....
We all could go on and on on this.....
But, the one I was thinking about is MTA
In regard to inflation, and food costs.
Especially food costs.
Which I'm noticing.
Milk prices vary every week.
The cost of butter has doubled.
Something I noticed a long time ago were the prices at Sam's and Costco.
You can't buy ANYTHING at these stores that costs less than a very high amount that's increased over the years... while the quantity has decreased.
For example... think of how many Oreos you got in a package 5 or 10 years ago. Now, you get half that amount and you pay 4 times as much.
There is NOTHING that you can buy in a grocery store that costs less than $3.00.
Today, food prices have no relation to the actual cost of the item.
A big box of popular Kellogg's or Post cereal like Raisin Bran now costs $6.00.
You can buy Walmart's version of the same cereal for half the price. The quality is slightly less.
Food should not be fair game for corporate profiteers.
Kroger has 19 stores in Louisville.
Walmart has 4 big stores.
Meijer has 4 or 5 big stores.
Publics has said it's coming to Louisville.
Kroger gave the University of Kentucky in Lexington a ton of money to improve the football stadium, and now it's "Kroger Field."
I'd rather they not charge as much for butter.
I think it's time to riot !!!!!!!!!!
