In Miami, back in the late sixties, Frank Sinatra was in town doing a movie.
He says to me: "Hey kid, I'm retiring from show business. I want to do one more album with Don Costa,
and you never wrote me song."
So I go back to New York and sit in my apartment.
There I am, sitting at my typewriter and words are pouring out like I've never seen before.
I do all the editing and cuts where I have to, and even got the melody down pat.
Five hours later, I finish it.
But this song isn't just for Frank. It's for all of you who have done it your way....
and had the courage of your convictions.
