I gave this one a try....went to the grocery and got all of the ingredients... hate to say what it all cost....

I screwed up the hash browns...turned out like mashed potatos.

I added a ton of mushrooms. Jackee loves mushrooms.

I cooked it in my enameled dutch oven.

First, on the stove. That was a big mistake. I almost burned the bottom layer. I figured this out in time to take it off the stove and put it in the oven.

It took forever to cook, but it turned out OK.

That's how it usually works for me. The first time, i have a disaster.

If I like it well enough to try it again, I do better the second time if i can remember how
I screwed up.

I put the sausage in the bottom of the pot like he said to do. I think it would be better to mix it with the potatoes.

The cheese is what makes this dish.

Give it a try some time.
