Glen - I had no idea about Ian Tyson holding Sylvia Fricker's left-handed guitar.
I also wasn't aware of Ian playing a "Martin D-28" either. Sometimes I feel like Sgt. Schultz....
"I Know Notting" !!!!!!
Anyhow, thanks for the heads up about the "Four Strong Winds" album cover.
Oh, one thing I do know:
"Four Strong Winds" is still considered to be CANADA's #1 song of all-time.
Ian Tyson is spot on when he says:
"All those things that don't change come what may."

ps: we're moving on October 27th and I will have no access to a computer for awhile
There's been some speculation over the years about this cover, and in particular the guitar that Ian's holding. After a lot of examination, I believe it to be a a left-handed Martin 12 Fret Slothead with the pickguard barely hidden behinf Ian's hand.
It looks terrific, but I think we all know that Ian exclusively played a Martin D-28 on their recordings.
In this cover shot I believe that Ian's holding Sylvia's left-handed 12 fret slothead guitar - perhaps a OOO-21?
Whatever, it's a terrific album cover photo!
Regards ............. Glen
