National Day In Spain

Posted by karenl on October 12, 2026, 10:12 pm

Letizia's dress in gorgeous, although, I would have to say it's more for a spring occasion than fall, but I love it. Sofia looks great in her pants suit and smashing in red.

Letizia looks beautiful in that gorgeous pink dress. I agree it seems more like a spring or summer dress, but I still like it. And at least Letizia dodn't wear white shoes... Leonor looks so at home in her uniform. I think she loves being in the military. Red is clearly Sofia's color. she looks so beautiful in that red pants suit.

I was curious to see what Sofia was up to and found this article. Typical of Hello/Hola, it's very gooey.

I think Sofia was somewhat in her sister's shadow for a little while. Now look at her. She is intelligent, confident, and committed to helping Spain. Felipe and Letizia must be so proud of her.

King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia visited Ceuta on Tuesday, 13th October

Posted by Karen on October 15, 2026, 5:56 am, in reply to "The King And Queen Visit Ceuta"

The visit, the first by a Spanish monarch since 2007, took place less than three months after the mass crossings of 30th–31st July, when more than 70,000 people entered or attempted to enter Ceuta from Morocco. The scale of the movement overwhelmed local infrastructure and resulted in substantial loss of life. Ceuta is an North African territory of Spain.

Felipe and Letizia make a good team. I know this visit is politically motivated and I will not get into what is going on between Spain and Morocco, but I will say the humanitarian crisis is on a scale much larger than what has been reported and I hope and pray something can be done to stop it.

On a fluffier note, I've noticed that Letizia is letting her natural hair color show. I like it. She's letting the silver show and it looks pretty.
