GP stands for General Practitioner. A doctor who works in the Medical Practice in the Public domain and not in a hospital.

The family of Hannah Cain, a GP to the royal family, who was allegedly murdered by her husband at home next to the Sandringham estate, have paid tribute to her as a “kind, generous and loving” mother, who took “great care” of her patients.

Mark Cain, 45, of Fern Hill, Dersingham, was arrested after Dr Cain’s body was found at her home in the early hours of Sunday. Sunday 4 October.

Dr Cain, 45, who was known professionally as Dr Hannah Terry, was listed as a member of the practice team at Grimston Medical Centre in King’s Lynn, which has served the royals for years.

The doctor was on call for the royal family and had treated several senior figures, including Queen Camilla, when she stayed at Sandringham Estate, The Sun reported.
