I forgot about the headpieces worn by Maxima and Laurentien.....🙄, no. No jewels, it's just blah. Of course, the Netherlands could be caught up in economic issues and the King thought it best to downplay the event this year.

Maxima needs better foundations and a completely different outfit.Amalia's dress color just washes her out. She'd have looked sensational in the same dress style but in plum or emerald green. Ariane looks absolutely beautiful. That style and color look gorgeous on her. I even like the matching gloves. Alexia looks lovely in that dress, and while I wouldn't have chosen the plum hat and gloves, they still work well with her gown. Laurentian is wearing a belated Army tent. That comes in handy if she and Constantine are planning to bivouacalong a beach or something. still, Laurentian is Laurentian and we wouldn't have her any other way.

I am really worried about Alexia. Her bones are showing under her skin. I also wonder if she chose that hat because of hair loss associated with an eating disorder. I am really frightened for her.
