I am confused. The dress in the video is very different from the one I normally associate with Alexandra dressing up as Mary Queen of Scots. The neckline, pattern, etc are not the same. See the link below to see the dress she wore in 1871 as the Queen of Scots.

Also, in the video, the dress I linked above is shown, not the one being restored. Unless Alexandra later had the costume substantially altered, it doesn't look like the dress she wore in 1871.

The photo in the link I posted is from the Waverley Ball in 1871, so the dress they claim is also from that ball can't be the right one. It may have been from another ball.
