Yet another biography of Elizaebeth II

Gyles Brandreth has a paperback version coming out in July.

In this link he is interveiwed and recounts story after story about the late Queen. I enjoyed it so much I just had to share it.

I have the hardback versions of both his books, the one on Philip and the one on Elizabeth. I highle recommend both books.

It's hardly surprising that several books on the late Queen are being published in the next few months. It being her Centenary and all.

I get it, but it's kinda like writing another book on Elizabeth I, Henry VIII, or Queen Victoria. So many have been written. How much more can anyone write about Her Late Majesty that we haven't already read in other books?

George V kept a diary, but it was as dull as he was (hunting numbers, the weather, etc.). I think Queen Mary's correspondence with her aunt Strelitz was interesting, because she talked about the people she met.
