OT: typos and prayers

Y'all may have noticed my typos have increased over the past day. The reason is that I am in hospital and am using my phone intead of my laptop. I went to the ER on Thursday night, where they discovered I have a blockage in my digestive system. I am an extremely poor candidate for surgery, so the doctors are treating things with keeping me completely off food and drink and by using IVs for fluid support and so on. Using c ontrast dye can also help remove the blockage, but I am allergic to shellfish and iodine based dyes, so they trying to find alternatives.

I am doing better than I was on Thursday, but if the blockage can't be removed by these methods, Ghen surgery Will be it for me. I am keeping my mind off things by following and posting g about the Sussexes, but also reading and loving all the posts about what the true Royals are up to.Keep ggfm coming!

I ask for prayers for me, but more for my sweet cat Merlin. He and I have been through a lot together these past few years.Right now he is at home abeing looked after by a dear friend who took him I. For more than a year when I was in and out of hospitals and assisted living. My family has been great, but Merlin has been my purring, feisty rock.

Right, back the Royals!

Thank you. I know I will spend the weekend here st least. I should know if the treatment is working within 24 hours.

Oh Hollie, prayers are on their way from myself now plus the prayer chain gang in the morning. I'll pray for your medical team also. You are one tough girl, we're all cheering for you.

I lit a candle for you in St Mary's Scottish Episcopal Cathedral this morning while doing some shopping and enjoying the sun in Edinburgh's City Centre. Will keep the bullet prayers going as well.

I am progressing slowly but surely and will be in until Tuesday if things continue like this. The blockage is working itself out in baby steps. I am on morphine and have also had dilaudid (spelling?), so no pain right now.

I normally don't post about health issues, but this is one hell of a doozy. I sometimes think of our board members a family: we drive each other nuts sometimes, but are there for each other when the chips are down. Thank you for being here for me.

I posted a message to you hours ago but something went wrong. I can send you some jalapeños that will flush your system, open your blood vessels and cause you to hit high notes you didn't know existed. In the meantime, sending you hugs, support, prayer and to Merlin some tummy rubs and ear scratches.

Martha, now I know who to turn to when I have a cold or some minor illness. I especially want to hit those high notes. You gave me giggle for the day, you usually do.

Hollie, I was glad to read that your condition was improving a bit for you. Obstructions are painful and can be really tricky, as you are very aware.

Merlin thanks you, too. He loves belly rubs and ear scratches. He is with a dear friend and has already become best buds with one of her kitties. The other one thinks Merlin is a pounce toy. He'll win her over too.

Dilaudid! ENJOY IT!

I first heard about that drug in "Drugstore Cowboy," with Matt Dillon. Take care, Hollie, and take your time. Don't rush it.

This means the world to me.

I will be in the hospital at least through Monday. I am making progress, but it's slower than the Drs. would like. Merlin is with my friend. He adores her husband so Mer is safe and happy. That's a relief.

Dilaudid knocks me out, but it also takes care of all the pain.i am okay with that.
