I got a kick out of Camilla going "Whoops, wrong side!" and sliding quickly into position. I think this is the first time I've seen Anne curtsey to William and Catherine, or at least the first time I noticed. I'm sure she always follows protocol. The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester are just a lovely couple. I think Catherine is wearing the late QM's five-strand pearl necklace. She looks fabulous as usual. Camilla looks good, too.

I get the feeling that the RF are standing together as a family within the larger family of the Commonwealth. I love it.

I had to look at that video more than once. I've never actually seen Anne curtsey to either of them before today as well.

Lots of speculation, but it was probably a gesture of goodwill on the part of Albert of Monaco.
The King sending Andrew to live in Monaco? It's like Andrew living in Bahrain, no way. The King is not going to send his brother to live a life of luxury....especially after today.

Andrew is currently confined to Sandringham, where Charles and his staff can keep an eye on him. I very much doubt Charles will allow him to go out of the country, even if Albert swears to keep Andrew locked in the Pink Palace. I think Albert's working on possible connections to the Commonwealth, or at least doing a chunk of networking.

The Grimaldis have already decades of exhausting scandals. I don't know why they'd welcome AMW now that the paternity suits have been settled and everyone seems to be behaving themselves. There's no upside for anyone to host Andrew, so he's stuck living in a lovely home on a royal estate. Poor guy.

From what I've read and heard he was there to support the King and Queen. Not sure why, though.

I think Albert may be considering taking Monaco into the Commonwealth. I think he might be looking to diversify Monaco's economy or seeking investors for his country. I don't think he wants AMW anywhere near the Pink Palace. Someone on another group suggested he could be trying to run interference for Fergie, but I doubt that very much. Even Albert knows that's a hiding to nothing. As I said, I think his visit has more to do with Monaco and needing/wanting more economic and business connections.

Great search, thanks! This makes perfect sense. Albert has long been a champion of the environment and the Commonwealth initiative aligns perfectly with his foundation.
