Stephanie's portrait is okay, except for her face....Stephanie looks much older than she really is in real life. I don't like it.
Guillaume's portrait, I don't like at all.

It seems the artist tried to show light and shadow across her features. It's a good painting, but yes, she looks older.

I think it's hard to make a good painting of someone in the age of photography.

They both look like they are well into middle age in these portraits--in their fifties, when they are actually in their early to mid forties. Guillaume also seems to have lost his chin, while Stephanie's acquired a squint. No good!

I have to add that we know Stephanie has always dressed older than her age, but the dress in this portrait looks like it came from the late Elizabeth II's closet. It would have looked lovely on HM, but on the much-younger Stephanie it just looks so matronly. Stephanie and Guillaume are charming, intelligent, and hardworking. Guillaume just lights up when he's with their sons, and Stephanie clearly loves motherhood. I adore them, These portraits do not do them justice.
