His mother is a de Castellane. I remember how she and her sister(s)/cousins were all over Point de Vue in the late 90s/early 00s. Birds of a feather!

I'm just happy one of the royal houses has stepped up and given us something in August. Usually the Grimaldis fill the summer lag in interesting news, but the House of Savoy has hoisted their flag and I'm here for it.

True. I miss the days when we could count on a good Caroline or Stephanie scandal. The Grimaldis are now almost boring. I was also hoping for a Maria Carolina or Maria CHiara of Bourbon-Two Sicilies scandal too, or one involving their parents, Camilla and Carlo, but they all seem to be behaving themselves too.

It's pretty clear this "romance" was definitely arranged. Emma wasn't in the running at all, sad to say, but true.
I love it when the defunct Savoys still "believe for the media's sake", that Vittoria will some day be the Queen. They point at Spain's return to Monarchy in 1975, different times, the Spanish public aren't all that keen on their Monarchy in our time. Italians don't want a restored Monarchy, if they did, it would have been restored long ago.
