1889 - Princess Louise of Battenberg was born at Schloss Heiligenberg, Seeheim-Jugenheim, in the Grand Duchy of Hesse. She was the 2nd child and 2nd daughter of Prince Louis of Battenberg and his wife Princess Victoria of Hesse and by Rhine. In November 1923 she married Crown Prince Gustaf Adolf of Sweden in the Chapel Royal at St. James's Palace in the presence of King George V and members of both royal families.

I feel sad Louise had no surviving children of her own. I know she was close to her stepsons, but Ingrid just wouldn't accept her.
