Mette-Marit has enough to worry about with her chronic health problems. Harald and Sonja should be enjoying the sweetness of watching their grandchildren come into adulthood without this scandal.

Not quite charged, yet. Pretty much a foregone conclusion though.

After a 10-month investigation, Norwegian police have now handed the case over to prosecutors who will decide whether to press charges, police attorney Andreas Kruszewski said.

Marius's mother's tree also has a bad apple or two on it.

Interesting that her Wikipedia entry mentions her father's a convicted felon, but doesn't mention her brother's Espen's convictions or the fact that she testified in her brother's behalf at his trial.

I forgot that she was friends with Epstein after his release from prison. Wikipedia also mentions that before she met Hoiby, she was planning to marry John Ognby, a man convicted of drug-related offenses.

If we're going to blame parents, we should include Mette Marit. Didn't she clean up one of the scenes? Do something with his phone? It's not just his father's genes here.

Oh, I'm not exonerating Mette Marit. She bears a chunk of responsibility for Marius's troubles too.

Mette Marit cleaned up her son's apartment, his phone is missing and there's suspicion that MM took it and who knows what happened to it...well, we know if she did take it. As far as I know Marius's phone hasn't been recovered, unless that's changed. MM also contacted at least one victim "to talk".
I realize Mette Marit has a chronic, often fatal illness, but she should be held accountable for her actions also. Yeah, she was trying to "protect" her son, but her son committed felony rapes, sexual assaults and abuse. That's the time when a parent says, "I can't help you get out of what you've done...maybe I can get legal representation, but that's all." MM has her own troubles and she has two other children that need support.
I've been following this and it was sickening that more and more women were coming forward with just sickening stories over rape and abuse. We'll see how the prosecutor handles this. I hope the women get the justice they deserve.
