As a history teacher, I greatly appreciate the care that is being taken of this amazing historical "artifact". I love fashion particularly from the 19th century. On a personal level, I don't particularly like this dress, but certainly commend those who are working to preserve it for future. Personal note: I've never understood how these ladies could breathe at all in these tightly corseted dresses. It seems like torture. Thank you, Karen, for posting this.
