The 85th anniversary of Operation Dynamo at Dunkirk

Her Majesty has issued a heartfelt message marking the 85th Anniversary. Her father was one of those evacutated. Over 338,000 British, French, and Belgian soldiers were evacuated from the beaches and the port of Dunkirk. A vast fleet of ships, including Royal Navy vessels, merchant ships, and civilian boats, participated in the evacuation.
